Christian education for all ages is a vital part of the life of the church. We who believe that Jesus Christ was born, lived, died, and was resurrected for our salvation need to study and to reflect on what our belief means and how we are to live in response to such and outpouring of love and grace. To that end Trinity offers several options for both adults and children to draw closer to God.
Christian Education begins on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM. Our children begin with stories told in the Beulah Land or Godly Play format story, the children wonder about how God acts in the lives of the people of the Bible and in their own lives. The stories always begin with the hands and heart of God as our message is one of God with us in all that we do and our call to live as God's chidlren in the world. The order of Church School is reflective of the order of the Holy Eucharist. We hear God's word, we offer songs of praise, we pray together, share a meal, and are sent into the world to live out the Gospel we are taught.
Our Church School time involves parents directly and all of us participate in the songs and in the telling of the story. Activities such as crafts or drama follow the story. During the Advent season we made Advent Wreaths to take home and the children present a Christmas Pageant during the season.

Before Church Lectionary Series: We meet in the library at 9 AM - with our coffee and pastry - to read and consider the readings for the following week. Our curriculum is the Synthesis CE program.
Weekly Bible Study: Each Wednesday morning at 11 AM we say and abbreviated Morning Prayer with the volunteers at Joyful Ladle sharing insights into the readings for the day. Some join the pastor after for a more indepth look at the scripture. All are welcome to enjoy lunch in our parish hall after the study time. In addition Rev'd Jane and others will lead specific modules in the evening and mornings of the week.
Church School for all ages: Beginning this fall we will gather for Christian Education Sunday mornings. We will meet at 9:30 AM in Houghton Hall. It is an opportunity for teens and tweens, and young children to be formed and transformed by God. The children join their parents in church at 10:15 AM.
Church School at Trinity does not meet during the summer months. Children are invited to join us in the sanctuary for the 10 AM service.
Beulah Land!
On Sunday mornings our young folks assemble on the second floor of Houghton Hall for our opening worship based on the Beulah Land curriculum. That is our multi-age educational program based on a story told on a felt board. Some Godly Play stories will also be used. The children participate in telling the story and engage in related craft activity after the lesson. Older youth move to their own class. These older youth will use the curriculum Weaving God's Promises.
Adult Christian Education
If you are interested in adult formation, but cannot find a time that seems to work, gather some of your friends and start one of your own. Christian Education is a life long process and no one has a corner on knowledge of God. Lay leadership is a powerful resource for the building of disciples and of God's Kingdom. We are all travelers on Way. Christian fellowship and formation prepares us for the challenges we face every day.
